Mediation

When not wearing her “attorney hat,” Hannah acts as a mediator in all matters relating to family law cases. Mediation allows each party to have a direct say and control over the final outcome of the case, versus submission to the Court where all decisions are left to the Judge.

With both in-person and virtual mediations available, Hannah assists mediating parties** and their attorneys work toward resolution without the need for court. As a firm believer in the mediation process, Hannah will ensure that the parties have a clear, thorough, and individualized agreement that allows them to forge a brighter future.

During mediation, Hannah works to discover the goals of each side: whether that is to maximize the division of property, minimize future litigation, or ensure protection for the children. With an understanding of the goals, Hannah then works with the parties and their attorneys to negotiate a resolution that both sides have had control in creating. At the end of the day, the parties leave with a binding mediated settlement agreement which will be turned into a formal order of the court, typically prepared by one of the parties’ counsel, at a later date. This order will include all of the agreements made by the parties – agreements made through negotiation rather than submission to the court.

Acknowledging that each case requires different levels of time to resolve, Hannah offers half, full, and hourly mediations.

• Full day: $1,400.00 per party per day.
• Half day: $700.00 per party per half day.
• Hourly: $200.00 per party per hour with a two-hour minimum.
• Weekend mediations are also available.
